PERSEVERANCE
Since a child growing up in The Bronx and Harlem, I have had a dream, belief, and vision to control my destiny through business. And that meant understanding money. For each step that I made, I called the university. "Teach me what I need to know." As I went through my journey, it added to my toolkit of expertise. And, of course, I had my share of haters, blockers that thought I should not be there. But, I used my knowledge to tackle obstacles, which gave me success and allowed me to teach worldwide. Wow, I realized that I loved it. I love to teach. Now I share what I know with others. Teaching is a good feeling. And success is a better feeling!
Things I love to talk about:
As the CEO of the nation's largest black-controlled architectural woodwork and casework manufacturer in the U.S., Terrill Manufacturing Company, Overall, I turned around this 70-year once family-owned West Texas company. Additionally, I leveraged his knowledge of business turnarounds and restructurings as CFO of information services company, KENROB Information Technology, Inc. And as a business restructuring specialist, he represented the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), a federal government agency on the creditors' committees of once-prominent companies Memorex Telex Corp., Lone Star Industries, and two airlines.
Because of the breadth and depth of my understanding of a business and the marketplace, I taught MBA classes in the following areas:
Accounting & Controls
Corporate Finance
Mergers and Acquisitions
Money and Banking
Trade Finance
What can I say? I truly enjoy teaching. I have taught MBA students at the University of Northern Virginia and Executive MBA students on the campuses of Wesley Post Graduate College (affiliated with Osmania University), India, and Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, of The Peoples' Republic of China.

Business Transformation Coach
Specifically, this is what I have:
I have earned numerous awards and certification as an entrepreneur, trainer, and business value creator. This enhanced my capabilities to serve as a consultant, business turnaround professional, and an expert in business valuations, mergers & acquisitions, marketing, accountancy, and finance.
Think about it. I was a kid from the Bronx. For the first time, I was reading Institutional Investor and Euromoney Magazines, the rags read by the money lenders. Seeing multimillion-dollar transactions transferring through the SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) system became eye-opening. As a result, my view of the business world turned upside down. And consequently, this became my new reality.
With this experience, I became an international commercial lender with Bank of America (Republic Bank Dallas) with country responsibilities for Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and India. I loved this job so much that I hated the weekend. This is a story within a story. But I managed one of the most extensive loan portfolios in the bank and never wrote down a troubled loan. And I conducted business with some of the most exciting companies and business people. One person was Sukanto Tanoto, now a billionaire who then ran PT Raja Garuda Mas, a pulp and paper company. I leaned so much. And I was on fire. However, because of haters due to my race, all good things must end.
